Just in time!

Being late can be unpleasant but, at times, it’s a real problem. This was the case of a spanish pet food producer, who was looking for rice that would be 100% rehydrated in 10 minutes just adding boiling water from a kettle.

Food products for animals are often a mix of ingredients with a base of cereals plus meat, fish and vegetables. The ingredients have different characteristics and different cooking times, essential for the quality of the end product. Our customer’s problem was that the rice was not cooking in the same time as the other ingredients, therefore they were looking for a rice suitable for his product with adequate cooking times.

Our experience with quick cooking cereals enabled us to develop a tailor-made product that matched perfectly their requirements: a white rice that rehydrated in ten minutes as the rest of the other ingredients. Time saving that translates into a productive and economic benefit for the company.
